Magnetic test rod with a diameter of 26 mm is used to check and test for the presence of metallic and magnetic impurities in selected materials. It can be used in dry mixtures and liquid substances. Inside, there is a magnetic core with strong NdFeB magnets with sufficient power to test for magnetic impurities. Using circular movements, you can test whether the material contains magnetic impurities. These are captured on the functional half of the rod. To remove them, simply pull the handle and the impurities will automatically fall off the surface of the rod. No need for time-consuming manual cleaning.

The test magnetic rod is made of stainless steel according to DIN 1.4301 /AISI 304 / ČSN 17240 standards with a polished finish. It weighs 1.1 kg. The diameter of the magnetic part is 26 mm and the length is 150 mm. The magnetic test rod is equipped with neodymium magnets with a pull-off force of 102 N.

Magnetic force measurement procedure

The measurement is performed using a standard gauss meter at the point with the highest magnetic induction in the structure – at the pole attachments or at the lowest point of the magnetic circuit arc. The test is repeated three times at different points of the magnetic circuit and the average magnetic induction is calculated.

Procedure for measuring peel strength

We measure with a polished steel standard with a diameter of 10 mm and a height of 20 mm. The measurement is performed at the point with the highest tensile strength in the design – at the pole extensions or at the lowest point of the magnetic circuit arc. We record the force at which the standard broke away. We repeat the test three times and calculate the average tensile strength.

For your information, 10 N = approx. 1 kg.

The resulting pull-off force depends on many factors, such as the dimensions of the standard, the air gap between the standard and the tested magnetic circuit, the surface finish of the standard, etc.

The magnetic test rod is designed for testing and checking loose and liquid materials for the presence of metallic or magnetic impurities. It is an effective aid for workers in the food industry, agricultural production, construction, chemical industry, automotive industry, and manufacturing companies that work with dry or liquid materials.

Main advantages

- Testing of magnetic and metallic impurities in loose and liquid mixtures
- High magnetic performance
- Convenient operation and easy cleaning
- Quality workmanship

The test rod is equipped with a magnetic core with neodymium magnets. The core is enclosed in the rod and can be moved up and down as required. The outer part of the rod is made of stainless steel (grade 1.4301/ AISI 304 – suitable for use in the food industry) with a polished finish. The handle of the magnetic rod is made of hard plastic for easy handling. The test rod can be used in temperatures up to a maximum of 80 °C. We do not recommend exceeding this temperature, as this may result in gradual demagnetization.

Magnetic test rod is easy to use. It is inserted into a container with a mixture and tested for the presence of metallic and magnetic impurities with circular movements. These are captured on the lower half of the rod. After removal from the container and pulling the plastic handle, the impurities easily fall off the surface of the rod in the lower half.

Key features

The magnetic test rod is 150 mm long and has a diameter of 26 mm. Inside is a neodymium magnet with a pull-off force of 102 N, corresponding to a magnetic force of 12400 Gs. The weight is 1.1 kg.

NOTICE: The pull-off force values for some products were measured under ideal conditions in a test environment. However, these values may vary depending on the specific type of environment, where, for example, operating conditions and subsequent wear and tear may affect the effectiveness of the product. However, measurements have not been performed on all products, and in such cases, the values are only estimates or internal calculations by the seller. The values listed should therefore be considered indicative, and any deviations cannot be considered a defect within the meaning of Sections 2095 and 2161(1)(a) of the Civil Code. To determine the exact tear-off force in a specific case, it is necessary to perform your own measurements. If the tear-off force values determined are not sufficient for you because they do not correspond to the values stated, you can use the guaranteed option to return the goods within 30 days under the conditions stated here: https://e-shop.magsy.cz/vraceni-zbozi/and purchase a stronger magnet. These 30 days are intended for testing the goods, after which the seller may refuse to accept the return of the goods.
