Magnetic industrial mats

What is a magnetic mat and what is it used for?

Magnetic industrial mats were created to clean the soles of shoes from all ferromagnetic impurities. They are an excellent solution for transitioning from workshops and production facilities to non-production areas such as offices or food processing facilities. Employees who frequently move between areas do not need to change their shoes, use shoe covers, or manually clean their shoes of metal debris. The magnetic mat removes everything thoroughly.

Helps remove:

- Metal dust

- Metal shavings

- Metal filings

- Cuttings

- Chips, nuts, and other ferromagnetic contaminants

Areas of application for magnetic industrial mats

- Magnetic mats are used in manufacturing and food processing plants.

- They are installed in transition areas between production or workshops and food processing facilities.

- They are also used in companies where their presence is required by auditing companies.

Types of magnetic industrial mats

Our specialized e-shop offers magnetic mats and magnetic zones in the following sizes:

- 500 x 500 mm

- 1000 x 500 mm

There are different types of magnetic mats – with a thicker rubber layer, in an ECOnomic design, magnetic zones, and UP magnetic mats. The difference is in the amount of ferromagnetic dirt captured, durability, weight, and design.

Magnetic mats consist of two layers:

Rubber top layer – effectively captures dirt from the soles of shoes, preventing it from entering and possibly damaging the neodymium magnets.

Thinner rubber layer = stronger magnets that penetrate the rubber better, attract dirt more effectively, and are lighter for easier cleaning

Thicker rubber layer = lower magnet strength, higher weight, higher resistance and longer service life

- Bottom layer with neodymium magnets – strong magnets attract ferromagnetic dirt through the rubber layer

Cleaning magnetic industrial mats

The magnetic mat is very easy to clean despite its higher weight, which may make it seem more difficult to handle. After use, only the top rubber layer needs to be cleaned, which can be easily separated from the magnets. Metal contaminants are no longer attracted by the magnets and the rubber part can be simply shaken out and any remaining FE contaminants wiped off.
