A hopper magnet for an injection molding machine is an excellent solution for preventing impurities and metal particles from entering the inside of the hopper. Its main purpose is to safely separate these unwanted particles inside the equipment. By using a hopper magnet, the service life of injection nozzles is significantly extended.

Magnetic separator for a hopper in the PLASTIC version is directly equipped with a circular PET body, thanks to which it is very easy to install into a conical hopper and it maximally covers the inlet, including the adjacent sides. It offers easy maintenance, simple cleaning, and reliable operation. The circular body is complemented by tubes made of durable ABS material (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene), inside which strong neodymium magnets are located.

Key features

The hopper magnet for an injection molding machine in the PLASTIC version is equipped with 6 magnetic tubes, fitted with neodymium magnets with a pull-off force of 35.5 N per tube. Temperature resistance up to 70°C (we recommend not exceeding this temperature to avoid gradual demagnetization). The total weight of the separator is 3.2 kg.

TEST METHOD

Magnetic induction measurement procedure

The measurement is performed using a standard gaussmeter at the point with the structurally highest magnetic induction – at the pole pieces, or at the lowest point of the arc of the magnetic circuit. The test is repeated 3 times, each time at a different point of the magnetic circuit, and the average magnetic induction is calculated.

Pull-off force measurement procedure

The measurement is carried out using a polished steel reference standard with a diameter of 10 mm and a height of 20 mm. The measurement is performed at the point with the structurally highest pull-off force – at the pole pieces, or at the lowest point of the arc of the magnetic circuit. The force at which the reference standard detached is recorded. The test is repeated 3 times and the average pull-off force is calculated.

For your information, 10 N = approx. 1 kg.

The resulting pull-off force depends on many factors – e.g. the dimensions of the reference standard, the air gap between the reference standard and the tested magnetic circuit, the surface finish of the reference standard, etc.

WARNING: The stated pull-off force values of some products were measured under ideal conditions given by the test environment. However, these values may vary depending on the specific type of environment, where, for example, operating conditions and subsequent wear may affect the efficiency of the product. Measurements were not performed for all products, and in such cases the values represent only an estimate or an internal auxiliary calculation by the seller. The stated values must therefore be considered indicative and any deviations cannot be regarded as a defect within the meaning of Section 2095 and Section 2161(1)(a) of the Civil Code. To determine the exact pull-off force value in a specific case, your own measurement is required. If the measured pull-off force values are not sufficient for you because they do not correspond to the stated values, you may use the guaranteed option to return the goods within 30 days under the conditions stated here: https://e-shop.magsy.cz/vraceni-zbozi/ and purchase a stronger magnet. These 30 days are intended precisely for testing the product; after this period, the seller may refuse the return.
