Magnetic testing rod with a diameter of 20 mm is used to check and test the presence of metallic and magnetic contaminants in the selected material. It can be used for dry mixtures as well as liquids. Inside there is a magnetic core with strong NdFeB magnets with sufficient performance for testing magnetic contaminants. Using circular movements, you can test whether the material contains magnetic contaminants. These are captured on the functional half of the rod. For their subsequent removal, simply pull the handle and the contaminants will automatically fall off the surface of the rod. You don’t need to do any time-consuming manual cleaning.

The testing magnetic rod is made of stainless steel according to DIN 1.4301 / AISI 304 / ČSN 17240 standards with a polished surface finish. Its weight is 0.7 kg. The diameter of the magnetic part is 20 mm and the length is 140 mm. The magnetic testing rod is equipped with neodymium magnetswith a pull-off force of 60 N.

Procedure for measuring magnetic force

The measurement is performed using a standard gaussmeter at the location with the highest structural magnetic induction – at the pole pieces or at the lowest point of the magnetic circuit arc. The test is repeated 3 times at different locations of the magnetic circuit and the average magnetic induction is calculated.

Procedure for measuring pull-off force

We measure using a polished steel reference sample with a diameter of 10 mm and a height of 20 mm. The measurement is performed at the location with the highest structural pull-off force – at the pole pieces or at the lowest point of the magnetic circuit arc. We record the force at which the reference sample detached. The test is repeated 3 times and the average pull-off force is calculated.

For your information: 10 N ≈ approx. 1 kg.

The resulting pull-off force depends on many factors – e.g. the dimensions of the reference sample, the air gap between the reference sample and the tested magnetic circuit, the surface finish of the reference sample, etc.

The magnetic testing rod is intended for testing and checking bulk and liquid material for the presence of metallic or magnetic contaminants. It is an effective helper for workers in the food industry, agricultural production, construction, the chemical industry, the automotive industry, and manufacturing plants where dry or liquid material is handled.

Main advantages

- Testing magnetic and metallic contaminants in bulk and liquid mixtures
- High magnetic performance
- Convenient operation and easy cleaning
- High build quality

The testing rod is equipped with a magnetic core with neodymium magnets. The core is enclosed inside the rod and can be moved up and down as needed. The outer part of the rod is made of stainless steel (grade 1.4301 / AISI 304 – suitable for use in the food industry) with a polished surface finish. The handle of the magnetic rod is made of hard plastic for easy handling. As standard, the testing rod can be used at temperatures up to a maximum of 80 °C. We do not recommend exceeding this temperature, as gradual demagnetization could occur.

Magnetic testing rod is easy to use. It is inserted into a container with the mixture and circular movements are used to test for the presence of metallic and magnetic contaminants. These are captured on the lower half of the rod. After removing it from the container and pulling the plastic handle, the contaminants easily fall off the surface of the rod on the lower half.

Key features

The magnetic testing rod with a length of 140 mm has a diameter of 20 mm. Inside there is a neodymium magnet with a pull-off force of 60 N, corresponding to a magnetic force of 5000 Gs. The weight is 0.7 kg.

WARNING: The stated pull-off force values of some products were measured under ideal conditions defined by the testing environment. However, these values may change depending on the specific type of environment, as operating conditions and subsequent wear may affect the effectiveness of the product. Measurements were not performed for all products and in such cases the value is only an estimate or an internal auxiliary calculation by the seller. Therefore, the stated values must be considered indicative, and any deviations cannot be considered a defect within the meaning of Section 2095 and Section 2161(1)(a) of the Civil Code. To determine the exact pull-off force value in a specific case, it is necessary to perform your own measurement. If the measured pull-off force values are not sufficient for you because they will not correspond to the stated values, you may use the guaranteed option to return the goods within 30 days under the conditions stated here: https://www.magnetickeseparatory.cz/vraceni-zbozi/a and purchase a stronger magnet. These 30 days are intended specifically for testing the goods; after this period, the seller may refuse to accept the return.
